115 E. 23rd Street, 12th Floor
(between Park and Lexingon Ave)

Walk the Gates

The Gates is a huge installation in Central Park, conceived by artists Christo and Jean-Claude. The project celebrates both the organic beauty and varied topography of Central Park as well as the grid structure of the surrounding city blocks. The saffron color evokes autumnal foliage and was chosen for its striking luminosity when set against a wintry backdrop of leafless trees.

Come take a walk in Manhattan's largest power spot and experience the manifestation of an artistic dream. We'll start at the southwest entrance and saunter north and east, finishing up at the roof garden of the Metropolitan Museum to get a stunning view of the entire project.

Sunday, February 13
12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m.
Meet at noon at Columbus Circle,
Near the big statue by the park entrance
59th Street and Central Park West

Cloisters Trip

The Cloisters was designed and built as a museum of works of art from the Middle Ages. It is a medieval castle-like complex located on a hilltop at the northern tip of Manhattan, overlooking the Hudson River. Visiting The Cloisters is a magical journey into another time and place.

Our January trip was postponed due to a snowstorm. Please check back later for details on when and where to meet.
